New Assignment
Dear Elder Joshua Michael Sandberg,
We congratulate you on your assignment to serve as a District Leader. You have been entrusted with this position because of your worthy example and diligence. This assignment was extended after prayerful consideration and comes from the Lord through inspiration.
Your primary responsibilities as a district leader will be to help the missionaries in your district to be better prepared to find and teach as directed by the spirit. You will train, guide, and inspire them to be more effective in the work.
The Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ: Supplemental Information summarizes the duties of a district leader as follows:
Leads, trains, and counsels with missionaries in weekly district councils.
Conducts baptismal interviews (see 2.3.6).
Conducts companion exchanges with elders in his district (see 2.3.1).
Works with local ward leaders and members to coordinate missionary efforts.
Reports directly to the zone leader.
As you continue to live your mission purpose, you will, through your example continue to bless the lives of many! Your continued focus on obedience and hard work will help to maintain the incredible culture found in this mission. This is a wonderful opportunity to renew your commitment to follow the example of the Savior in all you do. Live the Preach My Gospel to its fullest by consistent personal and companionship study. We invite you to lead by example in every aspect of the work so others may righteously follow your actions as well as your words.
We pray for your joy and success. We love you with all of our hearts!
With much love,
President Christopher LeBaron
